Making Claims Easier: Integrating Supplemental Health and Medical Claims
Applies to all groups, ASO and fully insured

Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, our medical and supplemental health claims will be integrated for groups that provide membership data. With member permission, most qualifying medical events can automatically trigger the claim filing process for supplemental health products (Accident, Critical Illness or Hospital Indemnity insurance).

This makes the claims process easier for our members and will give them a seamless, cohesive experience.

Who’s eligible? The integrated claims process applies to groups that provide membership data.

How does it work? When a member has a qualifying medical event, they will receive a text or email asking to allow our medical and supplemental health teams to share claims data. Once the member gives that authorization, their supplemental health claim will be automatically processed. The member will not need to submit an additional claim form.

By automatically processing the supplemental health claim, we won’t require our members to remember their additional coverage and submit a claim on their own.

Whole Person Protection: We provide products that complement medical coverage, improving health, wellness, financial security and peace of mind.
